How long will a battery last without charging?

Lead acid batteries discharge at 0.01 volts per day at 0 celcius and up to 0.02 volts per day in warmer weather. That means after 2-3 months of not being charged your battery can fail.

What can you do? Charge your batteries often or buy a battery maintenance charger from one of our battery stores in Abbotsford or Port Coquitlam. Ideally you want to disconnect the battery from whatever equipment it is in to prevent any electric draws or shorts while charging.

If you can't charge your battery often enough it can and likely will fail. With a little effort to keep it charged you can save the hassle of yearly replacement in seasonal vehicles.
